The Frank O’Sullivan Quartet has been part of the alternative jazz scene since 2024, after opening for Al Di Meola at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Later that year the group won “best new artist” at the Rimouski Jazz Festival, granting them a Quebec tour in the summer of 2025 which included a return to the Montreal Jazz Festival as headliners.
The band features prominent figures of the Montreal music scene in Émile Farley on electric bass, Chris Vincent on trombone with effects, and Ronny Desinor aka NNORDY on drums. Together they deliver Frank’s original compositions with a contagiously passionate energy, blending inspirations from Modern Classical Music, Post-Punk, Neo-Psychedelia, and Black American Music.
“His masterful blend of jazz and soul as well as his warm connection with his band was a real crowd pleaser.” - Joanne Shurvell
